Spotify Playlist: Apple (Skin to the Core)

Inspired by the many music references in Apple (Skin to the Core), we asked author Eric Gansworth to share a playlist for fans of his memoir in verse. Here is what he sent us. Eric assured us the playlist is meant to be enjoyed in sequential order.

He explains:

1-18 and 36-52 are mirrors (thus in reverse sequence from one another) and the middle section has its own arc.

Some of the songs on Eric’s list — two from the incredible band Ulali one from The Beatles — are such deep cuts that we couldn’t find them on Spotify. We highly recommend checking out Ulali on YouTube.

With songs like “Leaving Home Ain’t Easy” by Queen and “When It’s Time” from Green Day, you’ll keep turning the pages for a distinctive ride.
