Biography
Edward van de Vendel has been a school principal, journalist, and teacher. He has won many of the highest prizes for children's literature in the Netherlands, including the Golden Pencil (twice) and the Silver Pencil (four times). He lives in Amsterdam, and is known for being a fierce advocate for children's rights and for LGBTQ+ rights. He has written over 100 books for children and young adults.
